Sea kayaking is the best way to experience Alaska's Prince William Sound

You'll explore the bays, coves and fjords of the western part of the Sound. Seeing dozens of glaciers and waterfalls, and enjoying occasional hikes in the lush rainforest on this week-long sea kayak tour.

As we travel each day, we'll look for a huge variety of sea birds, eagles, sea otters, bears, seals, sea lions and whales as we travel each day.

Group size is strictly limited to 6 guests and 2-3 guides. We'll be on the water by lunch on Day 1, picked up by water taxi around lunch time on Day 7.

Compare our group size and number of "paddling days" with other kayak tours.

Sea-kayaking in Prince William Sound

Adventure Details

We'll pick you up in Anchorage on the morning of Day 1. After a gear check, we'll enjoy a spectacular drive south along Turnagain Arm and through a mountain to the town of Whittier. Here we'll get outfitted with boats and gear, teach you the basic skills, and start paddling.

Exact itineraries will vary due to weather conditions and the capabilities of the team, but we'll have plenty of time to explore this spectacular area. Weather permitting, we'll travel new areas each day, and spend nights camping on the beach or in the forest.

Blackstone Bay

We use top-quality fiberglass double and single kayaks which are stable, easy to paddle, and great for carrying loads. You'll enjoy delicious meals prepared by your guides in surprisingly comfortable wilderness camps.

No prior paddling experience is required.
You'll learn basic techniques on the first day of the trip.

Although you don't need experience, you should be relatively fit and willing to cope with the challenges nature has to offer in a week in remote Prince William Sound.

Swimming ability is NOT required. We're never on the water without life jackets.
