So you REALLY don't want to spend your vacation in a van...

Join us for this exciting expedition to one of the most remote areas of Alaska. The only van you'll be in is the one that takes you from your hotel to the Lake Hood sea plane base on the first day.

Most of Lake Clark National Park is accessible only by air, we'll enjoy a spectacular float plane flight and land at a remote alpine lake deep in the park. The flight alone makes this trip unforgettable.

We'll spend the week exploring alpine lakes, climbing mountains, fishing and looking for brown bear, caribou and moose.

Challenge Level:
4-5; Extremely remote camping. Long day hikes. Some backpacking.

Must be 18 years old and fit. Due to the remote nature of this trip, you should be in excellent health. No experience required.

Adventure Details

Day 1 - We'll pick you up at your hotel and, after a gear check we'll head to the world's busiest Sea Plane Base; Lake Hood in Anchorage. Here we'll board a float plane for the spectacular flight into the park.

After crossing Cook Inlet we'll fly up and over huge glaciers and mountain ranges as we make our way to a high alpine lake deep in the park.

We'll set up a comfortable base camp from which we can explore the surrounding lakes, mountains and valleys.

Includes: all related local transportation, including float plane flight into the park. All meals from lunch on day of pick-up to lunch on last day. Accommodation for 6 nights tent camping. All guides and instruction. Group and specialized equipment (tents, ice axes, kayaks, rafts, safety equipment etc.)

Not included: Anchorage accommodation. Personal expenses. Personal gear and clothing (sleeping bag, pad, backpack, boots, outerwear, all other clothing)
